I visited the annual conference of Academic eXchange for Information Environment and Strategy.
I listened to a speech about MOOC in a general assembly.
It has been 1 year since JMOOC, the Japanese version of MOOC, started, and it has 42 courses now.
Particularly the course “日本中世の自由と平等” by Professor Hongo of Tokyo University is registered by 20,000 people and realized flip teaching with MOOC for the first time around the world.
The age of the participants of the flip teaching ranges from 13 years old (!) to 81 years old and these participants make a discussion and presentation. I feel the method of the learning has changed since a junior high school student joined the lecture in Tokyo University.
The environment to learn any favorite lecture anytime has been arranged for those who have an incentive to learn regardless of the age and jobs.
I registered coursera, one of MOOC established by a Stanford-educated teacher. I would like to register JMOOC and take some courses.
