How to Use Punctuation Mark Depending on Document Type

I have explained in this blog we have to use terms and characters depending on the document types. Today I focus on “punctuation mark.”

When I write this blog in Japanese, I always use “，” and “。” excluding quotations.
In case of horizontal writing, I use “，” and “。”.

Technical documentations are, although they are also written horizontally, usually written with “，” and “．”.
In case of vertical writing like laws and novels, “、” and “。” are usually used.
We should use punctuation marks based on these writing rules when we create a document.
By paying attention to how to use the marks in other documents, we might be able to understand the intention of the writer of the documents.
