Today I explain the supplementary provisions.
The laws have the main provisions and the supplementary provisions, and the supplementary provisions are regularly specified in the following order:
1. provisions regarding the effective date of the law
2. provisions regarding the abolishment of the existing laws
3. provisons regarding the transitional measures
4. provisons regarding the amendment in other laws
5. provisions regarding the validity term of the law
6. other provisons

Concerning “4. provisons regarding the amendment in other laws,” if several laws are amended in this part, the amending provisons are specified in the the order of the act number of the amended law.
In addition, if the matters provided in the supplementary provisions are various and complicated, they are specified in another law as “Act for Enforcement of XX.”

In the supplementary provisions of the laws and the ordinances, the histories of the laws (the amendment histories) are written, so you can deeply understad the laws by reading the supplementary provisions in addition to the main provisions.
